WatercoolerChats ("we", "us", or "our") operates a Slack bot that pairs coworkers for short coffee chats. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

When a workspace admin installs WatercoolerChats, Slack grants us a bot access token and the following workspace data:

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the WatercoolerChats service.

For users in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing personal data is legitimate interests — specifically, the interest of your employer in facilitating employee connection — and performance of a contract with the workspace that installed the app. You may withdraw consent by opting out via /watercooler stop.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), database encryption at rest, and scoped Slack API tokens stored securely as environment variables.
